Product: Speech, presentation, research paper, skit, video production, re-creation (reenactment) of historical moments, opinion paper, time capsules, poster and any other activity that documents historical and/or language connections.

Level 4 Advanced	Consistently identifies and utilizes German cognates.	Clearly identifies and explains the historical impact and viewpoint of the German culture on America.
Level 3 Proficient	Frequently identifies and utilizes German cognates.	Frequently identifies and explains the historical impact and viewpoint of the German culture on America.
Level 2 Partially Proficient	Sometimes identifies and utilizes German cognates.	Sometimes identifies and explains the historical impact and viewpoint of the German culture on America.
Level 1 Non Proficient	Rarely identifies or utilizes German cognates.	Rarely identifies or explains the historical impact and viewpoint of the German culture on America.

Level 3 - Total = 5 - 6 with no score of 1
Level 2 - Total = 4 with no score of 1
Level 1 - Total = 2 - 3
