Task: Collect, display, and interpret data and support interpretations in a presentation and complete a written assessment.
Product: A presentation (oral, written, or video taped) done individually or with a partner that includes a discussion of the process used in collecting the data, an analysis of the data including measures of central tendency, and conclusions drawn from and supported by the data.

Advanced · Explained how data was collected, justified the appropriate sample size and explained how bias was controlled.
· More than one type of graph which accurately and appropriately displays data including labels and mean, median, and mode and are of superior quality.
· Analyze and draw appropriate multiple inferences from data. Score above 90% on a written exam.

Level 3
Proficient · Explained how data was collected, justified the appropriate sample size.
· Accurate and appropriate graph of data including labels and mean, median, and mode.
· Analyze data and draw appropriate inferences. Score from 80% to 89% on a written exam.

Partially
Proficient · Explained how data was collected, but did not justify the sample size.
· Graph contains inaccurate information and lack eye-appeal.
· Either analysis or inferences are partially inaccurate. Score from 70% to 79% on a written exam.

Scoring Process: Level 4 = Total 8
Level 3 = Total 6 - 7 with no score of 2
Level 2 = Total 4 - 5
Level 1 = Total less than 4
