The America Geophysical Union home page is an good source for both students, educators and professionals to find information about our planet.

Images of the Mount Pinatubo eruption will really light your fire and are excellent for sprucing up a report on volcanoes.

TheThe US Geological Survey home page has links to other geology, mapping and water resources web pages. It is one of the best sources of information in these areas that I have been able to find.

The Alfred Wegner Institute specializes in polar oceanographic research. It has a good public data base for research..

NOAA (The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration) is a good place for students, educators, and professionals to find information on the oceans and the atmosphere.

The Oceanographic Society has links to extensive ftp data bases on wide ranging oceanographic topics.

The Woods Hole Oceanographic institute is the best site that I have been able to find on this topic. An excellent site for both students and educators to explore.
