Asia is the largest continent.

Asia has the highest point on Earth! It has the world's highest peak--Mount Everest, found in the Himalayan Mountains.

Asia has the lowest point on Earth! In the western part of Asia is the Dead Sea which is the lowest point on the earth's surface.

It's the Great Wall of China! This wall is in China, a country in Asia. The Great Wall of China was built over 2,000 years ago. If you look carefully, you can see the wall in the background as well as the front.

It is the Taj Mahal. This beautiful building is in India, a country in Asia. The king, Shah Jahan, had the Taj Mahal built as a tomb for his beloved wife. It took 22 years to complete.

Animals of Asia

Many amazing animals live on the continent of Asia.

Pandas are black and white bears from China.

Camels are large mammals that live in the dry areas of Asia.

The Komodo Dragon can be found in Asia. The Komodo Dragon is the largest lizard in the world and a fierce killer.

The Asian Elephant (also known as the Indian Elephant) is a huge land animal that lives in Asia.

The Siberian Tiger (also called the Amur Tiger) is found in Asia. There are only about 400 of these magnificent tigers left in the wild; they are an endangered species.
