Overland Trail
The Overland Trail was a mail and passenger trail which was made in 1862 and ran from Julesburg, Colorado to Fort Bridger, Wyoming. The Oregon Trail was becoming increasingly dangerous because of conflicts between the Indians and the settlers. It is estimated that about 20,0000 emigrants traveled the Overland Trail from 1862 to 1868. Dr. J.H..Finfrock, a surgeon at Fort Halleck, kept track of the number of people who came trough the fort and also the number of livestock.
